Andean Silver Flower

Handmade purse embroidered with an pre-columbian technique from the Peruvian Andes which involves tightly wrapping the threads around a wooden stick or thick cardboard, known in Peru as "envuelto".

This technique is mainly used to embroider blankets and costumes for their traditional celebrations, where the beautiful silver threads enhance the beauty of the embroidery.

Following local traditions, this embroidery is mainly done by men, who excel the workmanship through their work.

This purse has been embroidered on a beautiful black velvet textile, it has a zippered closure and includes a pink satin interior with a zippered pocket. It can be worn as a shoulder strap or as a messenger bag.
